We did it!

We made it to Japan!

On the 10th of August this year Rikuryoku Kyoushin lined up on a street in Kouchi and begun their first ever performance. As the first international team ever we participated in Kouchi Yosakoi Festival and we can assure you that we are not done yet! Rikuryoku Kyoushins road has only just begun, we aim forward and continue working towards going back to Japan again.

More updates about our days in Japan will come shortly, please stay tuned!

3 months, 3 weeks and 2 days left!

In 3 months, 3 weeks and 2 days Rikuryoku will meet up in Kouchi to start our final preparations and practice for the Kouchi yosakoi festival! (*^▽^)/★*☆♪

We are all so excited!
This is Kouchi castle, one of the beautiful attractions in Kouchi! The castle was finished built in the year 1611 and it’s original buildings of the inner castle area is still standing today. From the top room in the castle is a beautiful view over the entire city of Kouchi.

Crowdfunding campaign!

Update from Rikuryoku Kyoushin!

We are still practising hard with the choreography. The Swedish part of the team has now learnt it all so we can dance it all the way through which is great fun. The dance is has many different styles and expressions in it which is fun. The last few weeks has been too cold, snowy and rainy to practise outside so we hide out it the university basement and practise there. So far no one seems to have been bothered.

After much hard work our crowdfounding campaign is now up! Crowdfounding is a way to sponsor projects, we have a page where it’s possible read about the project and donate a small amount. A good way for people who like this project and think it is fun and interesting to support it! Please contribute if you want, all help is needed!

We reach our goal!

When we started this project we did so with a goal of 30 members going to Kouchi next summer. And now as the application period has ended and we have gone through the applications we are proud to say we reach that goal!

We will be over 30 dancers going to Japan next summer!

Now some last changes await in the choreography before all the members get to start practice it in November.

We also have a facebook page now, you haven’t missed to check that out have you?

If you have missed it, or just would like to check again, you can find it here.
